Diageo Announces Changes to Finance Leadership Team

Diageo has announced changes to its finance leadership team following the appointment of Lavanya Chandrashekar as Chief Financial Officer Designate. Durga Doraisamy will join Diageo as Global Head of Investor Relations, effective 1 July 2021.

Durga joins from Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX), where she was Vice President, Investor Relations, responsible for the leadership of the IR function at the Fortune 500 company. Durga brings over 20 years of broad-reaching, finance-driven investor relations experience. Prior to joining Starbucks in 2014, Durga led investor relations at Puget Sound Energy, Inc., the largest investor-owned regulated electric and natural gas utility in Washington State, where she successfully led the transition of the company from being publicly traded on the NYSE into private ownership. In Durga’s early career, she held audit, analyst and controller roles at Cargill, Union Distributing and Unisource Energy in the U.S.

To ensure a smooth transition and focused delivery through our financial reporting period, Vinod Rao, currently Global Head of Investor Relations, will partner with Durga to co-lead investor relations through the end of November 2021.
