Chief Human Resources Officer Joris Huijsmans joins the Executive Committee of Carlsberg Group

In order to tie People and Culture even closer to Carlsberg strategic business priorities, HR will be represented at ExCom level. People & Culture are essential and key to a strong and sustainable future for Carlsberg. Therefore, the Chief Human Resources Officer, Joris Huijsmans, will join the Executive Committee from 1 January 2022.

With Joris joining the ExCom, Carlsberg Group ensure their continued focus on people, culture and organisational health is prioritised alongside our financial and strategic health. Joris was appointed CHRO for the Carlsberg Group in January 2021. Since then, he and the Carlsberg Human Resources team have accelerated the People Agenda with an increased focus on building leadership capabilities and strengthening of the Diversity and Inclusion agenda globally.

Joris joined Carlsberg in 2016, leading the DraughtMaster team and subsequently as VP Group Strategy, involved in a broad range of strategic projects. In 2018, he was appointed VP Urban Development and New Business, and in 2019 he became MD of Carlsberg Export & License. Before joining Carlsberg, Joris has over 20 years of FMCG industry and emerging markets experience. Joris is Dutch and has a Master’s in Civil Law from Leiden University, the Netherlands.
