Munich-based start-up Spiritory secures a six-figure amount for online whisky marketplace

The start-up Spiritory has secured a six-figure amount from investors. The young Munich-based company plans to use this capital to democratize and make the whisky market more accessible.

The online live-marketplace Spiritory, operated by the company, will utilize the funds to prepare for an upcoming product relaunch. The relaunch aims to bring additional features, a revamped design, and enhanced user-friendliness to the whisky trading platform. A prototype of the online platform was already launched at the end of last year in Germany, allowing collectors and enthusiasts to buy and sell spirits in a transparent and secure manner. Buyers place bids, and sellers make offers. When both prices match, a transaction occurs.

In addition to the relaunch, the company is expanding its platform offering to other European Union countries. These supposed, but not limited, to include France, Italy, Spain, Benelux Poland, and Austria. Through Spiritory, enthusiasts across Europe will soon find it easier to trade and manage their whisky collections.

Apart from expanding into the European market, Spiritory also plans to introduce an app in the near future. With the app, the company aims to offer users an even more accessible platform in the market. All of Spiritory’s functionalities will be available directly on smartphones.
